I had a blog post all planned about how staying home and taking care of Mom was turning out to be good painting time. And I was going to show you what I was working on and talk about it.
But the fact of the matter is, I’m just too blue tonight. It was a tough day that ended in harsh words.
Here are the paintings. I’m working on the “third background” technique, but it’s harder than it sounds.

Tell someone you love them today.
I’d be interested in knowing what the third background technique is. But I am also very sorry that it’s been a difficult time for you. I hope your beautiful paintings provide an outlet for you.
Tara – Love your “Loss” painting…. Yesterday morning I was outside about 8 and spotted a blue heron up on top of an electric pole, shrouded in mist. He/she was al in shades of grey; I could see the long ruffed feathers on his chest blowing in the breeze. Incredible sight! Remember: it’s always darkest before the dawn….
