Events
Tara’s painting of a Northern Harrier is on exhibit through the end of February at the Emerald Art Center (Springfield, OR) in the Cascade Raptor Center’s Raptors of the Pacific Northwest exhibit.

Tara is displaying her “Hoofbeats” series at the Pacific Artists’ Co-Op’s featured February artist.
Classes
In late 2025, Tara began teaching about once a month at the Artists’ Studio Association. She is available to teach other places if there is interest.
Exploring Liquid Charcoal
If you are wanting to “splash out” of your box, explore liquid charcoal in this one-day class. Please note: This is not a class where you will walk away with a “pretty picture”. This is a class about loosening up and exploring your creativity.
Students will follow along with exercises and demos covering basic design principles, painting techniques, lost-and-found edges, and adding other mediums to liquid charcoal paintings.
Using Color, Symbols, and Design to Personalize Your Paintings
Spend a weekend working on that series you always wanted to try. Participants are encouraged to daydream and explore, but also complete exercises, worksheets, and paintings. Topics include exploring your personal color map, basic color theory, asemic writing, symbols, notan, and composition.
